We sent a few boxes of magazines to the friendly folks over at College Cyclery in Sacramento for a second Saturday cruiser ride on June 6. They told us that had quite the evening, despite Kickstand staff not being there in person.

Weird.

“Thanks for the free magazine, the ride in Sacramento was even better this time because we had something to read while we sat and had some drinks. Thanks again and good luck with the mag,” Ted Florez told us via comment.

If that doesn’t get you excited then throw your own cruiser ride party. We’re happy to send you some copies of the magazine to hand out. Then, send us your pictures for inclusion on our website or in the next magazine. If you’re lucky.

We want to get the first issue in as many hands as possible so we’re piggy backing on some great cruiser-friendly gatherings this weekend and over the course of the next six weeks to ensure everyone can get a copy in their hands.

• Check out the Second Saturday cruiser ride in Sacramento. Starting at College Cyclery (2760 21st St., Sacramento, 916-456-2042) at 5 p.m., our point man Adam Copeland (who can build some pretty sweet custom bicycles) will be dishing out copies before taking a spin through the beautiful tree-line streets of Sacramento.
• Thought Kineticists was dead in Boulder? Not quite. After years of raging popularity at the Boulder Reservoir, Kinetics is back, at the Millennium Harvest House (1345 28th Street Boulder, CO, 303-443-3850). The insane human-powered crafts will be on display in the hotel’s gardens Friday, with the race and party (and FREE copies of Kickstand Magazine) running from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.  Proceeds from the event go to the Boulder/Broomfield County Foster/Adoptive Family Association.
