I recently got a call from a David Gonzales in Palm Beach, FL, who’d been searching for a bike. He’d gotten my number from Issue #2, and this is what he said: ”It was what I needed to close the deal on a Schwinn Black Phantom I was contemplating on buying.”

David’s take is that  most of  the other bicycle-related magazines that are on the bookshelves and

bookstores and even in the doctor’s office are Mountain Bike, Triathlete or VeloNews.

“Nothing is wrong with those mags but at my age (half century), your magazine made me

feel good about my purchase and about riding again which is the bottom line.”

David also commented that our article on ‘Your first cruiser: buying it right’, “helped a heap.”

We love these stories. It shows that there are thousands of people out there that aren’t part of the competitive bike marketplace, but still want to get out and feel the freedom and fun that riding a bicycle offers! Keep the stories coming! Thanks David!
