Ride the 1903 Harley original, sorta
The LA Times produced the film below on the Felt bicycle meant to mimic the original, serial No. 1 Harley. The original, being under lock and key and valued in the millions, isn’t one any of us will be riding anytime soon.
But for just $2,500, the Felt 1903 offers a near experience, including a 75-ounce gas tank, top speed of about 25 mph and front suspension. The reporter in this video did note: “It is not the safest machine.” Apparently the high speed and reliance on a coaster brake was a bit too much for her. If you don’t have an extra $2,500 hanging around, Felt offers a non-motorized version for $449 from its 2008 product line.

I totally wanted to punch the narrator on this story, could you have a crappier attitude? or maybe that’s her whole beef? I should probably watch more of her videos before I make a judgement about her attitude… hey lady, it’s a bike with a motor, not a motorcycle… see ya next tuesday lady…
I don’t see what the problem is with the narrator. She’s covering the history of the Harley and the flattery of imitation by Ridley. Seems pretty and factual and to the point to me. I don’t see a crappy attitude at all.
i dig this version but i am sorry dump the buzzy 2 stroke and get a 4 stroke whizzer
$2500.00 For a bicycle with a CHINESE 2 stroke motor with a BS ridley label on it?
There must be a lot of “style” and “artistry” that goes into it to justify the extra $2000.00 over the price of the grossly overpriced bicycle alone.
Wish I could be so instantly cool but I guess my wallet isn’t fat enough.I guess I’ll have to keep on building my own for about $200.00.
Fashionistas are soo funny!
